Rotary Club : Dr. Lyudmila Sekacheva felicitated with international service excellence award

Award ceremony was held on Sunday 18th December 2022 at the hands of DGN Rtn Sheetal Shah, District Governor Nominee, 2024-25, Rotary District 3131 and in the presence of Rtn Sameer Rupani, Director, International Services, Rtn Hemant Doshi, Co-Director, Vocational Services, Rtn Vijay Tarak, Assistant Governor, President Rtn Mahavir Satyanna and Secretary Rtn Parag Joshi.
Felicitation of Dr. Lyudmila Sekacheva at the hands of DGN Rtn Sheetal Shah In her tenure as the President of the Regional public organization “BRICS World of Traditions” and as the manager of the programme “BRICS People Choosing Life”, Dr. Lyudmila Sekacheva has done pioneering innovative work in the spheres of culture, enlightenment, and education. She was chosen for the INTERNATIONAL SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD 2022 by Rotary Club Chinchwad, Pune for her outstanding and pioneering contributions to the implementation of charitable, social, educational international, and interregional projects and programs and social activities.
The gracious presence of the Russian delegation, namely, Mr. Dmitry Kurbatov, Coordinator for external relations of the Program “BRICS People Choosing Life”, Member of the Students Union of MGIMO University under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mr. Rahul Sharma, Partner of the “BRICS Peoples Choose Life program”, Director for International and Regional Projects, (Rotary Club) IYES Foundation, New Delhi, Anastasia Shkitina, Journalist, documentarist, and scriptwriter, Dmitry Chiglintsev, Russian television operator and professional film crew along with Dr. Snehal Tawre and Dr. Lalsinh Tawre, Founder Directors, Snehavardhan Research Institute, Pune, President Rotaractor Renuka Singh, Rotaract Club of Ramkrishna More College graced the occasion.

After accepting the award Dr. Lyudmila Sekacheva thanked Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune for the recognition of her social work. (Rotary Club) She remarked, “On the occasion of the 75th Year of Indian Independence I am happy to visit India and to address this august audience. The visit of the Russian delegation is to strengthen the bond of friendship between Russia and India.
We ever cherish the intimate bond between Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation, and the renowned Russian writer Leo Tolstoy and strive to spread their message of peace and harmony across the globe through the platform of BRICS.”
The Chief Guest DGN Rtn Sheetal Shah, in his address, talked about the outstanding work of Rotary, when he said, “Rotary is an international organization having a worldwide network in 200+ countries with 1.2 million+ members having real commitment and vision. For more than 110 years, Rotary’s people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects. From literacy and peace to water and health, we are always working to better our world, and we stay committed to the end.”

Secretary Rtn Parag Shah introduced the awardee Dr. Lyudmila Sekacheva and Rtn Prasad Ganpule gave the vote of thanks. The ceremonious programme was compered by Rtn Surendra Sharma.
